Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 28th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m until service time at the church.

Eileen passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the West Point Living Center.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p><img src='http://kuzelka-minnickfuneralhomes.com/include/storage/thumb.php?edgeFade=4&amp;imgName=25381/DeathRecordStub/1583526/RSpenner.jpg&amp;imgWidth=72&amp;imgWidth=120' align='left' hspace='8'>Funeral services for Rita Spenner age 84 of West Point, NE will be on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, NE.  Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00  a.m. until 4:00 p.m., with a Guild Rosary at 1:30 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and will continue at the church after 5:30 p.m. until the time of the Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.  The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Michael's Cemetery and the St. Francis Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Rita passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, NE.

Rita was born May 18, 1928, on the family farm rural Dodge, NE to Emil and Anna (Vogltance) Maresh.  She attended St. Wenceslaus School and graduated from Dodge High School in 1946.  On August 25, 1953, she was united in marriage to Paul J. Spenner at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, NE.  The couple farmed west of West Point until retiring in 2008.  Paul passed away on March 6, 2008.  Rita remained on the farm until moving into West Point in December of 2012.

Rita was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, its Ladies Guild, and sang in the funeral choir for a number of years.  She enjoyed embroidery, vegetable gardening, baking, traveling and reading.

Survivors include her children, Tom Spenner of Boise, ID, Kathleen and husband James Boehringer of Yukon, OK, Mike and wife Ginny Spenner of Missoula, MT, Diane and husband Stan Spomer of Elizabeth, CO, Mark and wife Linda Spenner of West Point, NE, John and wife Ginger Spenner of Bellevue, NE, Bob and wife Carol Spenner of West Point, NE, Elaine and husband Loren Ruskamp of Firth, NE, and Jackie and husband Roger Hansen of Boise, ID, Grandchildren- Adam Spenner, Autumn Spomer, Josh Spomer, Trevor Spenner, Shelby Spenner, April Thomas and son Cayden, Dustin Spenner, Maria and husband Korey Janata, Aaron Spenner, Nicholas Ruskamp, Austin Ruskamp, Mackenzie Ruskamp, Mariah Hansen, and Katie Hansen, brother-Richard and wife Alice Maresh of Dodge, NE, and sister- Mary Ann and husband Louis Bohaboj of Dodge, NE.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister-Audrey Ptacek, and granddaughter, Tara.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p><img src='http://kuzelka-minnickfuneralhomes.com/include/storage/thumb.php?edgeFade=4&amp;imgName=default-images/v3-lily.jpg&amp;imgWidth=72&amp;imgWidth=120' align='left' hspace='8'>Funeral services for Thelma Furchert age 91 of West Point, NE will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in West Point, NE.  Interment will be in the Beemer Cemetery following the committal.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home and will continue on Monday from noon until the time of the service at the church.

Thelma passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the West Point Living Center.

Thelma Velora Furchert was born on February 11, 1922 in Beemer, NE to Alfred Otto and Clara Louise Wilhemina (Hille) Paulsen.  She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church rural Bancroft and later confirmed on April 14, 1935 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE.  Thelma attended Cuming Co. Rural School District #31.  On February 18, 1944, she was united in marriage to Louis Furchert at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE.  The couple resided on a farm northeast of Beemer until moving to West Point in late 1965.  Thelma worked as a cook at the Green Cup Café, St. Joseph’s Retirement Community and lastly making donuts at Casey’s. Louis passed away on March 14, 1994.

Thelma was a member of Grace Lutheran Church-West Point, its WELCA, and Quilters.  She enjoyed baking cookies, quilting, sewing, and crossword puzzles.  Thelma loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include-
Son- Verlyn and wife Vicki Furchert of West Point, NE
Daughter-in-law-Dotty Furchert of Scribner, NE
9 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren
Her grandchildren are: Deanna Wagner and husband Jeff, Christy Reeson and husband Jan, Travis Furchert and wife Kathy, Amanda Carrier and husband Justin, Justin Furchert, Marie Mandel and husband Chris, Trisha Blackburn, Shelly Schovanec and husband Donny, and Angi Hoffman

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant sister, brother-Elmer Paulsen, sister-Gerayne Jansen, two sons in infancy, two sons- Leon Furchert and Mylon Furchert, and a great grandson-Hunter Smith.</p>]]></description>
